The Shakuntala Poddar Welfare Foundation (SPWF) is a non-profit organization established with a deep-rooted commitment to transforming the lives of underprivileged children through quality education, art and craft, digital empowerment, and vocational training. We work to ensure that every child gets equal opportunities to learn and grow.

At a time when a large population is migrating to cities for employment, if anything is missing in between that is children’s connection to the reality of childhood and education. SPWF collaborates with these little children, families and communities through direct programs to create a better India with these human

Outcomes Of Programs
Our NGO distributed dry rations and cooked meals to approximately 250 homeless people daily for about 2 months.

We promoted hygiene and mask-making tutorials on social media. Our approach contributed to public health awareness and community strength.

Story 1

From Doing Chores To Shining In School: Rupali’s Story
Rupali belongs to an impoverished family residing in Uttar Pradesh. Due to work, her whole family had to migrate to Delhi. The living, her father earned, used to get exhausted in his alcohol consumption, eventually leaving the financial needs of the house unfulfilled. Rupali’s mother suffered from illness making her unable to work. Thus, Rupali had to contribute to the earnings of the family. After completing chores at home, she used to work as a domestic help at other’s houses. Rupali had never gone to school. However, having a desire to study, she joined our project “Shiksharth”. She continued to learn with passion and determination despite several adversities.

Story 2

From Mischief to Motivation: Piyush’s Story
Aged 9, was initially known more for his mischievous nature than academic interest. However, his strong grasping ability and curiosity didn’t go unnoticed. With patient redirection and hands-on involvement in digital activities, his energy was gradually channeled into purposeful engagement. Today, Piyush is one of the most enthusiastic participants in computer sessions. He has developed a strong passion for typing, navigates tools like Notepad. . His transformation has not only improved his focus but also changed how both teachers and peers perceive him—no longer just a mischievous boy, but a fast learner with clear potential.
