We believe that women should also have equal rights and opportunities as men. Through this ideology we successfully attempt to empower the women of slum areas. We provide them training of sewing, parlour which is good to their needs and provides them someone skills to earn some extra income for their families.
Women’s are the most important catalyst for a change in the society, in their children and families lives . Women empowerment can be the most important aspect for change in their children’s lives, because if a women is empowered than the whole family is empowered. Women’s are so powerful that they can help the entire family in need. Through strengthening women can strengthen the whole society.
Our aim is to empower women through training and education so that they can live a life full of dignity and respect. For this we have led some vocational programs. In these programs we trains the unprivileged women with some basic skill and language for enhancing themselves for employment.
To empower them we also taught them about the legal rights of women, hygiene, laws, violence etc. Women are at higher risk of violence in the fully packed slum areas. Because of low literacy rate and education women’s are unaware of the legal rights and schemes provided by the government to help them. For this we conduct Counselling’s, where we educate them about the policy’s and schemes of government.
Our objective is to raiseawareness in the women’s in the slum areas and educate them on women rights. To save them from the evils of the society we help and train them to protect themselves . We also council them to send their kids to school.
Our goal is to provide full employment and self dependence. By full employment we mean security, security of work, food, income. Social Security like healthcare, pension. Self dependent means the ability to work alone and collectively and to achieve freedom.
We have run many programs which enables women to know the power within themselves. In programs we let them know their abilities of doing work and earn money for their livelihood through knitting, parlour, embroidery, art, sewing and other activities. We have created a network of women so that they can support each other and learn from each other.
A women can be empowered if she is able to access the opportunities without any obstacles.
